The Football Association officially announced the introduction of the latest technologies for arbitration in the final match of the President's Cup, where 'Al-Ahli' and 'Sharja' will meet. The match will take place on May 9 at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Among the new technologies, the video assistant referee (VAR) system, virtual offside lines with a camera at the goal line, and two side cameras will be used before the goal line.
An important part of the system will also include a camera for the referee, specially equipped to fix all technical procedures occurring during the game. This will assist the referee in substantiating their decision after discussions with the video assistant. The referee's decision will be announced through the public address system at the stadium and will be displayed on the screens.
